1. Farewell to Summer: - Thursday, Sept. 12 at Mission Park: Pack a lunch and come listen to the sweet melodies of Kelsey Baldwin and then enjoy the last cupcake Thursday of the year with our most popular flavours of cupcakes to choose from!
2. NLMCC's Annual General Meeting: Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the museum. All members are encouraged to attend. The Board of Governor's for the museum will be selected at this meeting. Anyone wishing to vote must be a member of the NLMCC in good standing prior to the AGM. We hope to see you there!
3. Adventures in Watercolours Painting Workshop, Instructor - Denis Bell: Learn about colour pigments, painting techniques, tools and preparation for indoor and outdoor painting in this exciting 3 day workshop with Denis Bell. See attached poster for dates, times and costs.
4. International Lute Festival, Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at St. Joseph's Cathedral: The Northern Arts & Cultural Centre in Yellowknife is helping to bring this beautiful combination of musical pieces to Fort Smith. The musical line up includes the outstanding voice of local Fort Smith artist Karen Zaidan along with world class musicians! See more details for this event at: www.naccnt.ca.
5. NLMCC Fall Feast: Saturday, October 5, 2013: Please join us for Heritage Themed Murder Mystery dinner with homemade soups, breads and desserts. We also want to thank Yellowknife artist Astrid Kruse for the donation of some of her pottery bowls that will be included in the price of the ticket.
