MAX Christmas Arts & Crafts Sale - Start your Chirstmas Shopping!

Hello!
 
With December just around the corner it is time to get a kick start on your holiday gift buying! This Saturday Nov 26 is the Museum's MAX Christmas Arts & Crafts Sale. The Sale will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 PM in the Aurora College Foyer.
 
Come out to see the what the 25+ vendors have to offer: Crafts, Carvings, Beading, Jewelry, and much much more! There will also be lots of delicious treats to purchase in support of the Museum, as well as beautiful recycled glass ornaments!

Christmas Stocking Contest - Make yours Unique!

Good Morning!
 
With December right around the corner, the Museum wants you to create your own Christmas stocking to enter in our Christmas Stocking Contest! No restrictions about what you can make or what you can make it out of! We welcome knitted, crocheted, wood carved, paper, and fabric stocking (or any other kind you can imagine). Just be creative!
 
All stockings must be submitted by Tuesday December 6 to be included in the contest.
 
Prizes will be awarded to the top stockings in the three categories: Youth under 12 yrs, Adults over 12 yrs, and Groups/Organizations.
All stockings will be judged during Breakfast with Santa on Saturday December 10th at the Museum, and prizes will be awarded at 11:00 AM!

Justice Miscarried - Helena Katz Book Launch this Friday!

Good Afternoon!
 
Looking for a delicious and entertaining way to spend this Friday evening? Come to Helena Katz book launch event for "Justice Miscarried: Inside Wrongful Convictions in Canada" and enjoy come delicious desserts and entertainment for only $10.
 
The $10 tickets can be purchased at the Museum, the Rusty Raven Gallery & Gift, or Mary Kaesar Library.
 
The event starts at 7:00 PM on Friday November 18th at the Museum.

Forest Film Fest Screening 2 - Thurs Nov 17 @ 7:00 PM.

Good Afternoon!
 
This Thursday is the second screening in our Forest Film Fest line up. This Thursday, Nov 18 at 7:00 PM, we will be screening the National Geographic film "Last Stand Great Bear" and the short "Death of a Forest". Both films focus on the west coast of Canada and endangered forests.
 
Come out and see these films for FREE! Cupcakes will be for sale and coffee & tea will be provided.

First Screening this Thursday, Nov 10 - Forest Film Festival

Good Afternoon,
 
This coming week the Forest Film Festival begins with the first of four screenings on Thursday Nov 10. If you are interested in the role fire plays in the life of a forest come out to see our screenings of:
 
The full length documentary "A Working Forest: It's Future with Fire, People, and Wildlife" and the short "Into the Inferno: The Science of Fire".
 
Doors open at 7:00 PM and the screenings begin at 7:15 PM. Admission is FREE and cupcakes will be for sale!
