Greetings!
Whether your a seasoned pro or just a beginner starting out, long-time northern gardener, Jackoline Milne, will have something for you!Jackoline Milne was raised in the NWT graduating from DJSS in Hay River, she moved to B.C and started operating an organic market garden and greenhouse. She moved back to the north 10 years ago with her three children and husband. Jackoline has a new business in Hay River called Indian Summers Market Garden and Greenhouses, which she has joyfully been working at for the past 5 years. She also is the president of the TFA, as well as the president of the newly formed Hay River Commons Co-op which is operating a winter market that features a 100% local foods lunch each Sunday. In addition to these past 18 years of gardening she also has raised duck, chicken, rabbits and pigs for meat and eggs. To help with her our training she participated in a pilot course offered in BC directed at developing small scale food processing businesses.
For the past four years she has been travelling to various northern communities teaching introduction gardening workshops which have been very well attended and enjoyed.
