TAWBAS Star Party Update

TAWBAS Star Party UPDATE !

 

We have not had a strong response to our request for potential attendees to pre-register for the Aug 24-26 Star Party. 

 

Not to worry – we are still planning on continue with all of the activities and for those staying up late an opportunity for some star gazing.

 

However, we are unable to plan for any meals or related entertainment.  This being the case "you will" need to bring your own food, beverages and fixings.  We will have a large communal BBQ for those wanting to cook along with a wash station and other "very basic" necessities.

 

If you want to pre-register and/or volunteer, TAWBAS is having a meeting Monday evening (7 to 8 pm) at the Northern Life Museum.

TAWBAS 1st Annual Star Party (Aug 24-26)

Good day everyone,

 

TAWBAS (Thebacha & Wood Buffalo Astronomical Society) is hosting its 1^st Annual Star Party next weekend (Aug 24-26) at Pine Lake.  To assist us in our preparations in making this a fantastic event we ask that you pre-register.  I've attached a registration form or, you can print one from the website.

 

Details of the activities and programming can be found on our website  www.tawbas.ca  or by contacting Mike Couvrette at 872-0243 or 872-4123.

 

Your options for submitting the registration form are many and include:

- scanning and emailing it to:  mike_couvrette@yahoo.ca  or to  tawbasfs@gmail.com

- sending an email to either of the above with details

- dropping it off at WBNP Visitor Centre

- coming to our Monday (Aug 20) prep meeting at the Museum

 

Payment for registration can be done at the Monday meeting or when you arrive at the Star Party.  We accept either cash or cheques.

 

We also encourage signing up for TAWBAS membership and I've attached a form for that as well.
