Storytelling Festival, Saturday, June 23 7:00pm at Mission Park

Please join us for the 5th Annual Thebacha Tales, part of the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre's Storytelling Road Festival.

What: Storytelling Festival and Launch of Jim Green's new CD - Yellowknife: notes from the gold range 

When: Saturday, June 23 at 7:00 pm

Where: Mission Park at St.Alphonse/ St. Isidore Church

Who: The storytellers are: Michael Kusugak, Paul Seesequasis, Pat Braden, Jim Green, Scott McQueen, John B Zoe

Why: An amazing opportunity to hear stories from across the north and Canada. Storytelling is always a mixed bag of energy, colour, texture and content. Both the tellers and the listeners reveal themselves in the light, life and laughter of the stories themselves. We hope you can come out and enjoy this unique event.

Calling All Bakers!

Cupcake Wednesday is a fun, tasty fundraiser for the Northern Life Museum and we greatly appreciate anyone willing to bake a couple dozen cupcakes for us to sell on Wednesday.

Please let me know if you are interested in helping us out by doing some baking for any of the upcoming Wednesdays this summer.  

What: Bake cupcakes, any kind your heart feels like making and e-mail or phone me to let me know for which date you will be baking:

• June 20. 27
• July 4, 11, 18, 25
• August 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

When: drop off on Wednesday before 2:00 pm at the Northern Life Museum & Cultural Centre

Note: Please let us know what kind of cupcakes you made and if they contain nuts.
