DIY Survival Tips for Artists - Tonight and Tomorrow Night!

Hello all!

 

The Museum is hosting a professional development workshop for artists called "DIY Survival Tips for Artists" and will be lead by Joan Irvin of Alberta College of Art and Design.

 

The workshop is only $15, and runs tonight and tomorrow night, Aug 23 and 24, from 6:30 - 9:30 PM.

 

You are not too late to join in on this workshop full of useful advice!

Music & Smores at the Museum - Saturday Aug 20, 6-9 PM

The South Slave Friendship Festival is starting up, and this year the Museum is hosting a Music & Smores Night at the Museum. Bring your family out to this kids friendly event, Saturday August 20, from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. There will be wonderful live music and delicious treats to enjoy!

BBQ Kick Off Event for Summer Splash Art Fest - Sunday Aug 14, Noon - 3:00 PM

Good Morning!

 

Come have a burgers or hot dog and enjoy some Art Fest family FUN! The BBQ Kick Off Event for the Summer Splash Art Fest is this Sunday, Aug 14, from Noon - 3:00 PM. There will be face painting and a paper mural for everyone to put their mark on!

 

BBQ Kick Off Event

Where: Mission Park

When: Sun Aug 14, Noon - 3:00 PM

Prices: Hamburgers $5, Hot Dogs $3, and Juice/Pop for $1

 

Also, stick around after the BBQ to see the renowned Kevin Kennedy play "Chipmunks Ate my Bike" starting at 3:00 PM at Mission Park.

Summer Splash Art Fest begins Sunday!

Good Morning!

 

The Northern Life Museum & Cultural Centre and the Town of Fort Smith, are bringing you the Summer Splash Art Festival starting this Sunday, August 14. Looking for a way to express your inner artist? Check out the attached schedule for this festival and sign up for a workshop that sparks your interest. There are events and workshops for kids, adults, youth, and everyone in the community!

Come out to the Kick Off BBQ Event on Sunday August 14 for burgers, hot dogs, music, face painting, mural painting and more! The BBQ is from Noon to 3:00 PM.
