Acrylic Landscapes with Peter Potapoff - Two Spots Left!!

There are only two spots remaining for the Acrylic Landscapes Painting Workshop with Peter Potapoff this weekend!

 

The dates for this workshop are:

Storytelling Workshop and Event.

The Library is putting on a Storytelling Workshop on Thursday July 21 from 6:30 - 9:30 PM and a Storytelling Open Mic Event on Friday July 22. If you are interested in participating in the workshop, please contact Jeri (2501) or Lauraine (3125) or email storytellingfortsmith@gmail.com.

 

Everyone is welcome to attend the Storytelling Open Mic Event on Friday July 22 starting at 7:00 PM. This is a family friendly event and is sure to be very entertaining.

Thebacha & Wood Buffalo Astronomical Society - Organizing Meeting (July 21 @ 7pm)

Hello,

 

The Thebacha & Wood Buffalo Astronomical Society (TAWBAS) will be holding its first meeting (organizing meeting) at 7pm on July 21^st at the Northern Life Museum.  Anyone interested in participating in the society should attend.  The society papers have already been submitted and accepted by legal registries and we are now required to complete some basic tasks such as selecting a board along with a few other items.

 

Being that the society is still best considered an autocratic organization (and before someone feels it necessary to invade to impose a democratically elected board) I will offer to serve as chair of the meeting and will pull together a brief agenda.

Theatre Basics Workshop.

Good Morning!

 

Do you want to improve your acting skills? Or your public speaking and presentation skills? Or are you already a performer who would like to learn more? The Museum is offering a Theatre Basics Workshop on he weekend of July 23 and 24. This workshop is open to both adults and youth. You will learn how to use your environment, your voice, and movement through interactive exercises. This workshop will be lead by a wonderful actor, Renellta Arluk, who will expand your acting skills in a safe environment.

 

The Theatre Basics Workshop will run 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM on both July 23 and 24.

 

The participation fee is $50 for the weekend and spots will fill up quickly, so secure yours today!

Sunny Saturdays at Mission Park

With summer in full swing now (even if there has been a bit of rain), we are holding our first Sunny Saturday event at Mission Park! Each week we will have crafts, games, light refreshments and a little bit of history education for children 8 and under, accompanied by an adult.
