Internet Presence Workshop this Weekend!

Hello hello,

 

Just a reminder that the museum is holding an Internet Presence Workshop this weekend focused on how artists can create an online presence for themselves and their art. The talented George Lessard has come in from Yellowknife to teach this workshop and has assured me that last minute additions are welcome!

 

If you would like to participate in this workshop, feel free to come in tomorrow and join the group!

Time: 1:00PM - 5:00PM (both days)

Cost: Only $40!

 

Bring your laptop if you have one!

Museum is looking for Outdoor Lights.

Good Afternoon,

 

I hope you have been enjoying this breezy weather lately!

 

At the museum, we are getting ready for the MAX Winter Chill outdoor art display in our outdoor gallery and we are in need of outdoor christmas lights, spotlights, and outdoor extension cords. If anyone has some they would be willing to lend us, it would be greatly appreciated! If you would like to drop any off just let me know.

 

Also, we are still looking for people to make ICE ART cubes. It is very easy and they look beautiful. All you need is water, a plastic tote bucket, and some decorations. I can email you a very simple how-to sheet if you ask for one. This is a great activity for children and adults alike. Once you make your art, the musuem will display it! I fyou have any questions, call or send me an email.

Snow Sculpting and February Art Exhibit.

Good afternoon!

 

The museum is proud to be holding the first annual MAX Winter Chill, an outdoor celebration of community snow and ice art. Part of this event is a snow scultpting competition. We are looking for teams to sign up by Feb 18, to scuplt one of our six blocks of snow. No experience is required and the event is completely FREE! We want to showcase the art you create and have a fun time doing it! Just email me back or call the musuem at 872-2859 to sign up your team!

 

Also, in the Gallery this month, Vance Sanderson has installed an inspiring exhibit of his art. Come and experience his creative acrylic paintings and his varied styles.
