Hello all,

 

As many of you will know, Keith Morrision is leaving our fair town for BC & the next step in his career.  Many of you will also know that moving is great motivator for lightening your household!  Keith has a full contingent of tanks, chemicals, etc for developing B/W and colour photos.  If anyone is interested he would like to see them go to a good home - give him a call at (250) 266-2034.

Fwd: Survey for Professional Development Workshops for Artists

Hello everyone,

 

As some of you will remember, we ran a 2-day workshop in February that dealt with such things as writing an artist statement, artist bio, how to develop your portfolio, self critiquing, how to deal with galleries, etc.  This was offered at very reasonable (heavily subsidised) rate of $45.00 and many more Fort Smith artist would have benefited than actually attended, which was a pity.

 

We would like to continue to help arts and fine crafts persons develop through more workshops.  We would like to know what topics you would like to see covered. 

 

Such as:

How to develop a website?

How to present your work?

How to set up for a tradeshow or craft sale?

Grant/proposal writing basics?

More on importance of portfolios and artist information?

Copyright issues?

Please let me know what would help you develop as an arts or fine crafts person and we'll see what we can do!
